About the Role

We are looking for an SAP Integrations Architect to join our GMDIT team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the technical architecture for integrating various systems within an organization, primarily using SAP technologies and other industry leading methods, by defining the data flows, interfaces, and protocols needed to seamlessly connect different SAP and non-SAP applications, ensuring efficient data exchange and system interoperability across the enterprise landscape.  This role involves deep expertise in the Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP integration tools like SAP CI (Cloud Integration), understanding business requirements, and translating them into robust technical integration solutions while adhering to best practices and standards.  This is an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team, expand your expertise across SAP technologies, and help shape our digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture Design: Defining the overall integration architecture for SAP systems, selecting appropriate integration technologies based on project needs (e.g., APIs, BAPIs, EDI, OData), and creating detailed data flow diagrams and interface specifications.
  • Solution Development: Designing and developing integration flows using SAP CI or other relevant integration tools, configuring data mappings and transformations to ensure data integrity during integration, and implementing security measures for data exchange between systems
  • Collaboration: Working closely with functional analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and project managers, as well as consulting with stakeholders to identify potential integration challenges and propose solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in SAP Integration Suite components like API Management, Event Mesh, and Cloud Integration, with deep understanding of SAP data models, interfaces, and communication protocols, as well as knowledge of other relevant technologies like web services, REST APIs, and messaging protocols.
  • Testing and quality assurance: Performing unit, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure the configuration meets business needs and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of SAP, including system architecture, process flows, and user guides.
  • Troubleshooting and support: Identifying and resolving issues related to SAP design, providing end-user support.
  • System upgrades and enhancements: Adapting configurations to new SAP releases and updates.
  • Training and knowledge transfer: Providing training and upskilling opportunities to technical users and developers, as well as mentoring and coaching to junior resources.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of SAP architecture and integration capabilities.
  • 7-10+ years of SAP Experience.
  • Strong understanding of SAP business processes and functionalities across relevant modules.
  • Bring a strong technical foundation; be able to engage the team on architecture, design, and deep dive on sophisticated solutions, platforms, and interface design, while also educating more technical staff on the underlying business principles.
  • Extensive experience with SAP CI (Cloud Integration), SAP BTP, and other public/private cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like ABAP (depending on the project requirements).
  • Experience with designing and developing APIs and web services.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Travel ~10%.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Manufacturing, Medical Devices, Life Sciences industry is a strong positive.
  • Experience working in an international multi-cultural environment considered a plus.
