About the Role

We are looking for an SAP Reporting Developer to join our GMDIT team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimizing SAP reporting and analytics solutions to meet business requirements, translating complex business needs into effective technical solutions. You will work closely with business users and technical teams to translate requirements into robust SAP solutions, optimize system performance, and ensure high-quality deliverables. Responsibilities

•    Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document reporting and data analysis requirements.
•    Design & Development: Design, develop, and implement reports, dashboards, data models, and data flows using SAP reporting tools. 
•    Perform custom development of S/4HANA CDS views to support data extraction or to build embedded analytics data models for custom Fiori Analytical apps
•    ETL Processes: Design and implement robust ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading from various source systems including but not limited to S/4HANA.
•    Assist in the exploration of SAP delivered standard content and evaluation of standard KPI derivation logic
•    Performance Tuning: Optimize the performance of data loads, queries, and reports using techniques such as data compression, partitioning, and query optimization.
•    Testing & Support: Conduct technical unit testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP reporting issues.
•    Documentation & Training: Create and maintain technical documentation in Solution Manager (technical specs, testing evidence, etc.), and user manuals. Provide training and support to end-users on report usage. 
•    Integration: Ensure seamless integration of SAP reporting systems with other applications and platforms by leveraging technologies such as CDS Views.
•    Remain current with all relevant technologies and best practices, contributing to continuous improvement of overall reporting and analytics solutions. 

 

Required Qualifications

•    Strong proficiency in SAP application development or reporting with relevant SAP BI tools, with 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
•    Experience with front-end reporting tools and strong SQL knowledge (SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics and CDS views).
•    Demonstrated technical skills relevant in SAP reporting, including CDS views proficiency. 
•    Experience customizing and enhancing SAP Reporting applications to support business needs, including detailed requirements gathering.
•    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and experience with creating presentations for complex SAP design topics.
•    Knowledge of the SAP environment (S/4HANA preferred) and its various modules, data dictionary and database management principles, including familiarity with industry best practices for SAP configuration.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities (with both technical and non-technical audiences), including demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively across diverse stakeholders.
•    Travel ~10%.

•    Experience working in an international multi-cultural environment.
•    Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
