About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Test Lead to join our dynamic team in Bangaluru. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the testing efforts across SAP modules, ensuring quality delivery of SAP implementations, upgrades, and support projects. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills to manage a team of testers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP testing activities including planning, execution, defect management, and reporting. Coordinate with onshore SAP Test Leads and teams to ensure activities are synched with overall delivery goals and timelines
• Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, S/4HANA, FICO, MM, SD, etc.).
• Set the scope and cadence for System Integration Testing (SIT) cycles, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
• Work directly with Test Captains/Testers to create scripts and stage supporting data for each test scenario and/or script, then assess the readiness of each module based on development progress to determine inclusion in upcoming SIT cycles.
• Coordinate with Developers and Test Captains to ensure test coverage, quality and timely defect resolution.
• Manage a team of SAP testers and test captains, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Ensure adherence to testing best practices, methodologies, and tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA, Solution Manager).
• Drive automation initiatives and continuous improvement in testing processes.
• Prepare and present test metrics and status reports to project stakeholders.
• Identify risks and issues related to testing and proactively work on mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in SAP testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture and business processes.
• Hands-on experience with SAP testing tools and test automation frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations.
• The candidate should have  knowledge and experience of The Test Suite within SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) in order to coach and tactically mentor the team.
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
• Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience working with global teams and stakeholders.
