About the Role
We are looking for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our Medical Skilled Trades team and work the 3rd Shift. Associates in this position are involved in processes that typically align with shop services activities while adhering to quality standards and maintaining accurate records. These processes and activities could include but not limited to routine support of manufacturing aids, tools, parts inventory, and general shop support. Standard hours are Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
This position will be located at our facility in Santa Clara, California.
Pay and Benefits
- $38 - $52 per hour.
- This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment within a clean room and supporting infrastructure.
- Respond to maintenance service calls, perform scheduled and unscheduled work, installations, and enhancements of machinery and equipment.
- Ensure Quality System requirements are being met.
- Work with multiple teams across the division including production, skilled trades, and technical associates with the dual purpose of maximizing schedule efficiency and minimizing impact to manufacturing.
- Document work performed per procedures.
- Follow, write, and revise M&C standard operating procedures.
- Support other facilities with multi craft technician needs as necessary.
- Maintain compliance with training expectations as required for this position.
- Support additional responsibilities as required within the scope of the position.
Required Qualifications
- Apprenticeship program.
- Two-year technical degree.
- 4 years of equivalent experience in repair, maintenance or calibration of equipment.
- Trouble shooting and repair of production equipment in a regulated environment.
- Pneumatics, motors and gear drives, automation, oven controls, water systems, etc.…
- Electrical experience up to 208 volts, and understand basic electronics (electrical theory)
- Electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics.
- Measurement equipment (i.e., multi-meters, timers, calipers, etc.)
- Computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Maintenance Management Systems, Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
- Solid understanding of the use of power tools and machine shop practices.
- Work independently and within a team environment.
- Good oral & written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task under pressure.
- Available and willing to work weekends and off-hours to meet customer needs.
- Willing and able to work at heights of at least 15 feet, lift 50 lbs., and work in challenging locations.
- Ability to travel up to 5 %

- Robotics, PLC, & Automation Experience.
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude.
- Electronic Troubleshooting Experience
This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role.
