About the Role
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Associate to join our Finance Team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in AR operations. They will support the local Korean team while collaborating with global partners and cross-functional associates to ensure smooth financial processes and customer interactions.
This role will be located at our facility in Seoul, South Korea.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) function, including invoicing, collections, and cash application
- Monitor AR aging and collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve customer inquiries and payment disputes
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes and AR reconciliations
- Manage intercompany transaction reconciliations and execute the intercompany netting process
- Process manual payments as needed
- Support VAT reconciliation and assist with tax return filings
- Assist in Fixed Asset Management, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposals
- Administer the Corporate Credit Card program
- Support internal and external audits, as well as tax return preparation
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with company policies and accepted accounting practices
Required Qualifications
- University graduate in Accounting or Business Administration
- Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting-related roles, preferably within a trading company environment
- Strong understanding of the Accounts Receivable cycle and trading company accounting practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards E1, SAP, or Oracle
- Effective communication skills in Korean and basic proficiency in English (written and reading)
- Demonstrated dedication, discipline, and a strong work ethic
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach, attention to detail, dependability, and sound judgment
- Positive mindset, passion for the role, and a collaborative team player
Desired Qualifications
- Multinational company accounting and finance experience a plus
- SAP experience/implementation experience is a plus
