About the Role

We are looking for a process engineer to join our team in Shenzhen Bao’an, China who will lead/support engineering work across our contract manufacturing based operations and drive both manufacturing process excellence and mold readiness. This role ensures robust, cost‑effective, fit‑for‑use products by improving processes, establishing/strengthening CM capability, and owning mold-related activities from early design review through readiness. This role collaborates closely with global/regional cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Define, execute, and document a wide range of engineering projects, including cost saving initiatives, manufacturing capability or capacity set up/relocation, process validation, and risk mitigation activities related to quality/customer complaints.
  • Drive the CPV (commercial product variant) opportunity, ensuring on-time and on-target delivery in partner with cross-functional teams. Influence product design based on Design for Manufacturing and cost Principles.
  • Provide process design and engineering support for the manufacturing of new products.
  • Drive molding readiness and mold lifecycle activities—driving DFM reviews, supplier mold design assessments, T0/T1 sample qualification, issue resolution, mold optimization, and final mold approval.
  • Provide oversight of CM problem‑solving activities and step in with technical leadership when issues exceed CM capability, require cross-functional alignment, or significantly impact safety, quality, or customer experience.
  • Document and communicate current work state with regional/global cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.

 

 

Required Qualifications

 

    • B.S. or above in engineering or science (Polymer, Chemical, electronic, Mechanical, Material, Auto) with a minimum of 3 years hands-on engineering experience supporting automative manufacturing.
    • At least one year of hands-on injection molding experience, including DFM and mold design review, T0/T1 sample evaluation, and mold optimization with suppliers.
    • Working knowledge of IATF16949 standard and application of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, VDA, Control Plan.
    • Ability to apply engineering fundamentals and statistical tools (e.g., DoE, SPC, Lean) to development, optimization, and troubleshooting activities
    • Ability to identify critical issues and failure modes, including underlying root cause, and take appropriate action to address.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and lead cross‑regional projects, including experience collaborating with contract manufacturers to land new products and capabilities.
    • Effectively communicates and documents technical information and data
    • Self-motivated and self-directed, comfortable working in a rapidly paced environment, good at multi-tasking and prioritization
    • Business-level English; ability to travel up to 20% (as needed).

 

Desired Qualifications

Multinational company working experience is preferred.
